2005 Senior Thesis

For my senior thesis I considered a number of ideas, and came to the conclusion that I wanted to do a product designed for myself: a kitchen solution for a college bachelor(ette). I wanted a solution that would give me everything I used on a daily basis in the kitchen, in a format that would be lightweight and portable, easy to use and maintain, and dummy-proof for beginning microwave chefs.

Enter “kitchenware.” Every piece has myriad functions. Bowls and cups double as measuring devices and recipe books (microwave recipes and tips are printed around the lip of each). The feet are designed to insulate the hot liquid and protect the hands and cheap counter-tops  that support them. The drying rack doubles as permanent storage for the set, and every piece is dishwasher-safe.

Lots of thought was put into it, and an entire paper is devoted to explaining it in detail.
